In case anyone wants to know. I wore my contact lenses for 10 hours today without problems. Yay. I lost my glasses on Friday. Yes I know, stupid. I am blind as a bat without them!! So annoying, so the contacts are a godsend right now. I have had to order a new pair of glasses though because the only spare pair I have is a computer pair.. fortunately!!

I work as a nurse on an Intensive Care Unit. And, I arrange all the education and support for our ICU-nurses-to-be (students) on our unit. And I need to arrange the up-dating skills for my collegae. I don't know the exact Englisch word for that.

I sometimes doubting about that too.
There was a time it was hard for me to say 'no' to all kinds of requests and I took part in several commissiens too. I was ending up in 2 jobs, with too much work and feeling responsable for too much business in a too little time window - and a parttime mother too!
But, I learnt about my borders recently and decided to reduce my participation in most of the jobs. Just today I announced my quitting in one of these commissions. I feel so releaved!!

I'm glad you feel relief, Anita. There are some professions that are dominated by people full of compassion and caring, and nurses are definitely on that list. I'm sure it's full of rewards as well, but I know there must be a difficult side to seeing people in pain or worse. As my SIL once said (who worked as a nurse in the NICU) to me after I expressed how horrible it must have been for her to witness the death of an infant, "But you save so many more." Thanks for all you do!
