An EDM song would never be played in a movie of substance like this in my opinion.

Earlier today Phil posted on twitter that the band had just finished "Miracles" for the movie, so it appears it wasn't something shelved.....if the trailer has anything, it would just be a snippet in that case.

I wouldn't get my hopes up that they will release something worth listening. Mylo Xyloto was bad. Ghost Stories was worse. They are definitely having a bad time musically. (Yes, yes you disagree. I know that ) If they come up with a great song, it's probably a shelved one from another era. At this point, I could imagine that the song might be influenced by Avicii and Iggy Azalea. Chris said that he liked EDM and Iggy Azalea's songs and he always played a central role in the band, so he might put all that into a song. We'll see. I am not excited, to be honest. A Coldplay 1999-2008 concert would be a big deal for me but it is very unlikely that they do that. everything's not lost my friend i agree they haven't reached their pre-2008 greatness in awhile, but we've had glimpses of it. atlas wasn't that bad and to be honest, a movie of this caliber (or expected) wouldn't go for any current top-40 sounding songs. cheesy, yeah maybe, but not EDM for a ww2 movie. i was thinking about chris' supposed top 40 influences, and you know what? i think he was just pandering to the top 40 audience he was doing interviews for. if you think about the type of concerts he has attended recently, other than justin bieber with the kids ( ) everything else we've heard of have been adult rock/alt acts/rap (other than the mandatory beyonce). he was blubbering all over about wanting to see iggy azelea perform live in those interviews, but he didn't stay an extra day after the iheartradio concert to see her. says a lot i think. when you consider he would fly to AZ to watch the arctic monkeys.

I'm thinking about Invictus, the anthem Chris wrote for the Invictus Games. It's not a Coldplay song but one song for a special project is different than an album.

Is Miracles the only soundtrack from Unbroken that's been submitted for Oscars consideration?

"The Unbroken soundtrack will be released in the UK on 15 December by Parlophone Records and in the US on 16 December by Atlantic Records. " linkhopefully we'll get to hear it before that.

Hopefully this song turns out to be a softer, more acoustic Coldplay track. I enjoyed the last two albums, but in comparison to the first four albums, there was too much noise for my taste.

Too much noise and not enough music. You're completely right. A Sky Full Of Stars is the perfect example.

coldplayatlas says the background song on this tv advert could be miracles. well. the song is very coldplay-esque. even the guitar part that kicks in at 0:17. and of course the 'ooooooo's are very chris. but would they give a new soundtrack out as a tv advert before the official premier? doubt it..

I can hear the CPesqueness (I made that up) of it as well, and anything is possible I suppose, but I doubt as well that the powers that be would allow this to be used for an ad either, especially considering that it's written for a specific purpose. ?? I like the sound though.

I like the sound too, but I can't believe it will be used in adverts before the song or movie will be released.
And listen closely to the piano. I don't know the right English word, but it is in an other range then Chris usely plays. That don't have to say anything, maybe he is experimenting. But the fact he stays in the same range for more then 15 years now....

This Dutch site, HitSoundz, is also saying this is the teaser of Miracles. I don't know the real role of this site, so I am not sure if they are reliable. They where right with the Magic single as well...

I think they might very well allow it to be used in an ad before the release of the song. It doesn't really spoil anything as far as the official release of the song, because no one but us would have any idea that this (might be) a CP song when they hear the ad on tv. But, it gets people hearing and liking the song and sort of subconsciously advertises it. We'll find out either way pretty soon!
