I think they might very well allow it to be used in an ad before the release of the song. It doesn't really spoil anything as far as the official release of the song, because no one but us would have any idea that this (might be) a CP song when they hear the ad on tv. But, it gets people hearing and liking the song and sort of subconsciously advertises it. We'll find out either way pretty soon! I believe you are right. Also remember when Sky Sports used the studio version of Charlie Brown back in 2011 before MX came out? We were all drooling over the preview of it. So this could be similar to that. |

Using a movie soundtrack to advertise the actual movie makes sense, but to use it for the 1st time for something else seems so inappropriate. But who knows?

They may do it, but I personally think it's a bit strange to use a song especially written for a specific purpose such as a huge blockbuster film for something else before that specific purpose had a chance to use it. But who am I? Don't answer that.  And I'm not sure any of this made sense anyway. |
