Today is semla day! Oh yum, bun filled with almond paste and whipped cream. Old, medieval, tradition. Until the 1960's it was only allowed to sell them on Shrove Tuesday, nowadays we have them from Boxing Day til Easter

Shrove Tuesday is 'Pancake Day' here.. No actual clue why .. LOL Edit.. NOTHING like American pancakes... we have probably the same sort of receipe.. eggs, flour.. Fried, but these are thick French Crepes... eaten with sugar, lemon juice and sometimes jam.
