I will be needing that recipe please. I stuck a turkey in the crockpot before I went to work today, and my youngest son came home from college for dinner and finished it by cooking/mashing potatoes, making gravy and baking asparagus, so all in all, pretty darn good. |

Saute 1 leek in olive oil with salt and pepper, add 1/2 cup white wine until slightly reduced, add 1 1/2 lbs fresh asparagus, chopped into small pieces, add one golden potato, chopped into small pieces, add 5 cups chicken or vegetable broth and simmer 15-20 minutes. When soup is done, blend until smooth in a strong blender, like a Vitamix. I poured it back into the pot and swirled in a little heavy cream and added salt and pepper.
