I am really interested in the recipes that goes with all the nice stuff above. Someone in for a try? I do love cooking and baking a lot. But mostly, I don't have enough time, so I end up with the standaard cooking... I can't wait till the little one is there. 10 weeks of and after that I am going to work a day less. Time for more cooking.

Maybe we could do some Christmas Lights Cookies for Christmas?? Whatever your favourite Cookie recipe is and add some coloured icing? Or a Christmas Lights Christmas cake if you are REALLY good at icing.. complete with Coldplay Piano and the entire band! I wish I was good at stuff like that because I can see it all in my head! Lights on strings, Marzipan band members, the whole lot.. If anyone DOES do a Coldplay themed baking or cooking whatever, then do PLEASE take photos and post them. I might give the cookies a go! Watch this space.

Really looking forward to seeing the cookies! I've never had any luck with icing, might be my lack of painting talent So it's winter and time for porridge. I bought a different brand of oat flakes, my normal was sold out, and it's horrible. They're both organic and locally grown, how can one be so delicious and one taste like cardboard?! I can't eat it, must find the good stuff.

Yay another porridge eater! I'm going straight to the source tomorrow, to the brand's own store, they must have it. So strange to go back to summer breakfast with yogurt today. Going to make some apple sauce today while listening to the radio. Maybe bake some rolls too. Kitchen day

I'm assuming porridge is also called oatmeal? I wish I could eat it without cramming something fattening on top of it. I think I will try again tomorrow morning and try it different ways because it's supposed to be really good for you.

Yes oatmeal is one kind of porridge. You can make it with other grains/flakes/meals too but maybe you have separate names for those in English. We call everything porridge; oatporride, riceporridge, ryeporridge...
Fruit on top isn't so fattening, unsweetened apple sauce, bananas, berries, raisins. Breakfast is gooood.

^Yes that's what I love about oatmeal....there's sooooo many things you can do with it and so many different flavors. It doesn't always have to be fattening. I like it with fresh pineapple and a little brown sugar. Sounds weird but I like it! This looks very interesting! I've never tried it but I just found it. MICROWAVE CREAMY OATMEAL WITH PEANUT BUTTER RECIPE For a single serving, in a microwave-safe bowl, stir together 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats, 1/2 cup water and 1/8 teaspoon salt. (Don’t worry, precise measuring isn’t required, you just need to use approximately twice as much water as oats.) Cook on high for 1 minute, then stir well. Cook on high for 30 seconds, and stir again. Repeat in 15-second increments until your oatmeal is cooked the way you like it and water fully absorbed. Stir in 1 tablespoon peanut butter and serve. When made with regular peanut butter each serving has 169 calories, 9 g fat, 17 g carbs, 3 g fiber, 7 g protein and 5 WW PointsPlus Value. Found it on this website: simple-nourished-living.com/2011/12/slim-healthy-ways-to-cook-oatmeal-for-breakfast/There's some pretty good ideas there.
