This Swedish article may have given away Coldplay's secret for the release of the next single, Magic!! According to it/Google Translate: This past week, [magician Joe Labero] has been in Los Angeles with rock group Coldplay, actor Peter Fonda and a film crew with Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund rock at the head to record a music video for Coldplay's new single "Magic" to be released in May.

I think it sounds very real, especially considering the article has just deleted according to Hannah.

Someone in the other thread said the newspaper was very reliable, and I don't see why the magician would be shouting about it if it wasn't real.
CONCLUSION: it's probably true

A lot of people say 'Magic' doesn't sound like Coldplay but I think it kind of does, IMO. It also sounds a bit mysterious, maybe a little bit dark? It could also be the complete opposite haha :p
But I'm looking forward to this, and I really believe that this info is reliable.
Although I also think it's quite early to have made a music video already? Not used to it! But never mind, they know what they're doing.

To me, it's not because it's Magic that we're necessarily going to have something super upbeat and happy. It could actually be a song with a bitter sweet feeling to it? For instance about someone who used to have a great, fulfilling life but somehow something changed and it's not like it used to be. I'm just making stuff up, but, yeah, it could still very well be the "old Coldplay".

I feel that it could be something entirely different. I get a feeling of mystery, darkness, magic can be dark as well as light. Think 42 or DAAHF. Just because it's called magic, doesn't mean it's fake magicians in pointy hats.
I am very excited about it. I love the idea.

And so it begins!! will it be like Rush of Blood or MX, will it be upbeat or dark and brooding, why is peter fonda in the vid....sooooo many questions but one things for sure we are all so excited and this is always the fun part, the anticipation, waiting, waiting,  waiting for the song and the vid Oooo i hope its good and please be more early coldplay and less MX (sorry MX lovers) |
