My morning so far: Just heard a bit of "Don't Panic" played in the background of a tv show about Garden State. Didn't know this was in Garden State. Was led to look up the Wikipedia page to find out more about this, because this was immediately important. Then read all about Don't Panic. Saw this little blurb about the song on the Wikipedia page: Critic Adrian Denning, in his review of the album, compliments, "Both the vocals and guitar are utterly beautiful. It's a song to take solace from, draw comfort from, be quietly awed by." Nice!

Zach Braff, who made Garden State, and Chris are friends, and Zach is a big CP fan. That's why Chris is doing a song for his new movie.

I wish they would have played Don't Panic at all GS concerts. It's incredibly beautiful and one of my big favourites!

^Just to help... Go into the body of the posts you want to quote. Hold down the Alt key and click your mouse. That should light up the outermost box in the corner of the post. Go to any other posts that you want to quote and do the same. On the last post you want to quote, after you've done the alt/click, also click on 'quote' in that same post. That should bring up everything you need in a separate window.

You can also click on the 'gear' icon in the right corner and click select post, do that to any you want to multi quote, and then click the QUOTE button on the last one. (I didn't know about the ALT trick Sharon! I just learned something! LOL).

I have a feeling LP7 will be amazing. GS was a step back into acoustic/electronic. Now Wish I Was Here sounds a little more produced and could fit in with AROBTTH. If LP7 has songs with this kind of production and piano, it will be amazing. They seem to be going back to their more traditional sound while staying relevant . Each album of theirs has been fantastic so far. It really is best to approach each album with an open mind.

with the ASFOS ep and now WIWH released, can't help but see how all these are lyrically superior to most songs on GS. makes me think it was deliberate. hope chris will give up this 'lyrical dumbing-down' for the future releases. it was understandable for GS to an extent but if he continuous this, it'll be a major disappointment.

As someone who used to write poetry, whatever comes out of your head just goes down on the piece of paper. I've written stuff about my late mother, my crush (who is now my hubby!) that just poured out of me, you don't really take time to analyze it and say, "this needs to be smarter."
And I agree, LP7 will be awesome.

^ would say that depends on the person and chris mentioned even in a GS interview that the lyrics were finessed later even though they came out quickly. being in a popular band who has taken quite a beating over lyrics (and being well aware of it) reducing lyrical quality for pretty much an album is problematic in my eyes. maybe it was a conscious decision and i hope it is just because of the lyrical quality of GS
