I like it a lot! Excited about that build up to the center of the song! Hoping Chris' voice is predominant and Beyonce is background. Luv ya Queen B but if it's a Coldplay song I want to hear Chris and/or the whole band as the top layer of the song.

Not 100% sure on this. But the more I hear it the better it gets. I like some of it better than others. I don't if I am honest like the hip-hip influences.. I know you love it Chris. But it's not really my sort of music. Beyonce has a nice voice. But I want to hear Coldplay.  It's of course got a tremedous melody, it's written by Chris and I like that bit. OK need more listens I think. Interested to see if they play this live and how they handle it. |

I really like it. I like the tone, and I love the ending, very pretty. I don't think the band needs singers with them, but I think this works.

I think I love this. Could do without Beyonce, however. I think it would work just as well. Love the beat. Well... there is so little Beyoncé in it that I think they could have actually left her out. It's like "Oh and there we have Beyoncé by the way" LOL I think she should have sung a bit more. She has a classy voice and a duet could have been really cool. |

Hm.. the song is rather something I would expect from Beyonce feat. Coldplay or in this case Chris Martin and not the other way round. I really like its style and sound, the melody, also the hip hop influence - but I think the lyrics are ... I have the impression that it was written to be a song for clubbing and partying. And.. I mean, A Sky Full of Stars was also headed towards this direction - but Hymn for the Weekend even more; especially because the lyrics are out of line with other songs by Coldplay.. "I'm feeling drunk and high"; "Life is a drink and love's a drug" etc.
Actually, I do like the song - but the lyrics are somewhat strange. I don't feel the song yet.

I love this one, I'm OK with Beyonce being in the background because I want to hear Chris' and/or the band's voices predominantly if I'm listening to a Coldplay song. Overall I think the duets are very well balanced and they keep CP in the front which is how it should be, I mean if it was a Beyonce album I would expect her voice to be predominant. I love the "when I'm low low low" part.

I'm still not sure on this. Like Violet says it's more Beyonce Featuring Chris... rather than the other way around.
I don't hate it or anything. But it's one I hesitate to not skip through.. (don't hit me... ).

It's growing on me more every day. Considering I have the album on repeat constantly, it was kind of bound to! LOL I haven't had so much fun *read listening constantly* with an album, since Viva. It's probably going to be up there as my favourite along with Viva and RoB.  I really really love this album. |
