Fun.. Actually, the first time I heard this I nearly cried. It's called Fun, but it's quite a sad song. But it is hopeful too. Which I think is what the entire album says. Yes I've been hurt, but I came through it and I am having a GOOD time dammit.... Diamonds taking shape indeed.
Musically it is quite beautiful and the lyrics are quite lovely, even though they make me cry.
"Didn't we have fun"... It breaks my heart. I like the other voice on this, it doesn't overwhelm.. it's just a counterpoint.
this grows on me every time I hear it and I do think its going to be a real favourite.

Another favorite for me. It's a sad song, and every Coldplay album has to have some of those, even on an album like this. I've been repeating this one a lot.

I think it sounds like a basic radio track. Could be a single. It's an easy listening song. I like how Tove Lo's and Chris' voice blend together, though. The singing performance of both is extraordinary on it, but the instrumental arrangement sounds uninspired.

Like it a lot. Tove Lo is not overtaking the song, like Rihanna did on POC. Sweet little song that leaves me wondering if it's about JLaw.

When I first heard it, I thought it was about JL, then I heard those words about "forever, forever always", and I admit, I even went, "Darn" because it fit GP better. It might be related to someone he knows or something, but after GS, when all of the songs were about his heartbreak, it's hard not to again associate his writing so closely with his life. BUT I also agree that I really, really hope gai is right, and it's not about her. I know our man is full of emotion and heart, and I love that, but it would be sad if he keeps writing songs about her.
