i always thought this kind of show (that's all about hoopla/showing off) was not necessarily coldplay's forte, and this confirmed it. . . . just wish that the whole band was more prominently featured. then again, this got coldplay some amazing exposure. itunes charts are showing that so far Yeah, I agree. I think we - their fans - really want them to stand out and grab the attention of the whole world, but it's not really a part of the band's personality to do that. But then again, we love them because of their (modest) personality, right? So it's kind of a paradox.

I'm actually glad they didn't try to be something other than themselves - because I'm proud of who they are.

So Ive just got in from my nightshift and had a look. I enjoyed it because its them, it was a shame they handed over precious time to Bey and Bruno, it felt a bit disjointed to me As you've already discussed, Chris is too nice, Beyonce certainly didnt need Superbowl to promote her new song did she??? On a positive note I loved the stage and all the colours, I may have to wear my shades in June if this is going to be a part of their show, they have promised a spectacle!!

I agree on this is not a great event for Coldplay. I've only watched it once at 2.30am so I want to wait for some better quality videos to turn up and watch again. I liked the tifo things a lot. Did you notice "love" in "Believe in love" looked just like it does on the love buttons?! The Cp feeling for details I liked the stage, Chris' mic is so nice. Many great ideas. Shaky cameras, not good sound, strange footage. I understand it's difficult. Beyoncé almost fell over! Wow how well she sorted that out! Both she and Bruno were good. It's a different thing with a lot of dancers, adds a lot. Their clothes tho. Cp with all that colour and love and then came black and what looked like bullet belts. Felt so unpleasant. Oh and the videos of old performances. It was great to see, but maybe they could have pre recorded that and show it before/after/during a break? I would've preferred to see more of Cp. Now to watch some old halftime shows, I need to learn more

Interesting, maybe all those people who think coldplay are miserable and only sing sad songs have had their eyes and ears opened!! This is great for them Well Done boys you have a whole new legion of fans, how long before we get newbies appearing on here who were hypnotised by a certain blue eyed frontman and his mates!!

For an unknown reason, I love Uptown Funk and I was just happy to see and hear Chris singing a bit of the song.
I also think that someone must have asked Guy to move because I had never seen him like this before...

We don't need the media & critics to tell us about Coldplay performance and how it looked, we have eyes. I didn't care about Bruno Mars, let alone Beyonce performance. It would have made a difference if she perhaps did a Rihanna like appearance at the Paralympics 4 yrs ago and just played HFTW with the band. The harmonizing on Up & Up was great.
Oh yeah! At some point, handsome Guy was front and center. I loved it!
