Here's my cat, Vader. That's my big black fuzzball in the first pic. He's about 8 years old, and truly a joy to be a momma to. He's my sweet furbaby. I also had another cat, named Biscut. That's him in the second pic. He was a gorgeous Russian Blue, but I lost him to cancer back in November. I miss him terribly. Looking at him makes me beyond sad, but he was a great companion.

Thanks . It truly is, I was devestated when he passed. I had him for 12 great years, and he was so good with my kids. We all adored him.

I'm sorry about Biscuit. I've been in your position with a 14 year old cat, and I know the joy that animals bring to your life. They are both beautiful kitties!

I'm sorry about Biscuit too. Oddly enough I used to have a cat called Biscuit. He was gorgeous too. He's been gone a long time now, but I still think about him.
Vader is gorgeous !

Thanks everyone. I miss Biscut all the time, but I am so fortunate to still have Vader. We rescued him when no one else wanted him ( he was terrified of people) and I'm so glad we did.

What a beautiful thread! Great to read about everyone's hairy friends. I love Mulle, he must make for a great pillow. And Vader is very handsome. Black cats bring only good luck. If you guys don't stop me this post is going to be huge. Row, your cats are so funny, especially the pic where they're all posing. Adorable. My mum laughed really hard when I showed it to her. Sorry to hear about Biscut... People sometimes underestimate how much you can miss your pet. Let's hope all lost ones are in a peaceful place. We (I live with my parents again) have lost a couple of young cats to the busy road we live on. Horrible. They need a bit of time to learn to look left, right and left again... We have two cats who are 2,5 years old. They mean everything to me and my mum (and my dad loves them too). They're both very cuddly, but apart from that they are nothing alike. This girl is named Piep, or peep, because she makes a soft squeaky noise instead of meowing like a normal cat. When she comes home she starts rolling over the floor, which is adorable. She's small and gentle but gets very feisty when there's food involved - she wins from her big brother every time. She's a star in giving cat massages. This boy's name is Aapje, meaning little monkey, because deep down he actually is a monkey. He looks tough but is very shy. He talks a lot, some would call it whining. He's lazy and loves to be hugged, all the time, and if you ignore him, he attacks you. As you do. I think he left a few permanent marks on my hand. He's doesn't flirt with the girls a lot, so I think he might be gay. But then again, he does always grab my boobs...

Thanks for sharing your pictures Ahsley! They look lovely! I agree on you how terribly one can miss his/her pet-friends. They are a real (and big) part of the family they live in and it just hurts if they pass away. It is so sad that most pets only live for such a short period....

I like how you tell about Aapjes' peculiarlyties (right word??) It is that constant hugging that I like so much. Our other dog named Frummel (1th page) lives for her hugs - and she has the size of a cat so she can sit on our laps/couch/bed etc. Mulle is just to big sometimes hahaha :-) Thanks for sharing!

Imke your cats sound lovely. Aapje sounds like he may have some Siamese in him. The character sounds very much like mine, their characters are the same as Siamese. Very clever and very people focused. Your girl sounds adorable too.
I love hearing about alll our animal families.

Pets! I found this thread lurking in the midst of the board.. I Thought Anita and other Horsey peeps might like to see my horses. This is Misty, a horse I used to have a part share in, she was an Arab/Welsh cross, and 24 years old when this photo was taken. I have lost a little weight since that photo was taken! Which was 8 years ago. View from the top.. Misty's ears. This was my Mum's horse Sparky and me riding.. a LONG time ago in the mists of time. He was a REAL character. Real Chestnut monster LOL But we loved him. And this was my darling Legend. He was a thoroughbred, and had THE most generous, beautiful nature. He loved to jump, and this is a photo of him and I at a Cross Country event. He was my pride and joy. I miss him.
