My first thought was, I don't like the harmonizer. It almost made me cry that I couldn't hear Chris' beautiful voice properly. It's definitely a departure from MX, which is good. It will grow on me I'm sure.
I think we have to remind ourselves that an album can't be judged by the first single.

It´s actually a bit disappointing not to be able to hear his gorgeous voice.
The production has something very special and interesting to it but the vocal effects just annoy me. It would be a good track to open an album though. I hope that it´s just for this purpose and the rest of the album will be a bit more decent, at least when it comes to the sound of Chris´voice.

I am sure that I will (eventually) love the song and the album.

What I think it does brilliantly, is offer us what's coming, but without giving too much away. It has so much mystery, not just the video but the song also. Like every album previously, the first single always seems to divide opinion. The whole album won't have heavy vocoder type effects etc. Just like not every song won't have classic Jonny riffs, like this one doesn't. Not what I expected in a lot of ways but really cool I think. Love some of the time signature changes as well, I think are in there? Need more news! haha
