I'm pretty sure they will do SNL, they are a go-to band for that show, and they seem to all respect one another (SNL and Coldplay). Also, SNL is putting their musical guests in sketches more and more, so that's a good thing.

Me too. I love the excitement, which comes with the releases! A leak would spoil it.
And actually, a band like Coldplay and a leak. The one who would leak can get a very high claim, I think.

As of today, 'Ghost Stories' is #2 on iTunes in the UK and #3 in the U.S. Others include #2 in Australia, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

The tweet about the tour freaked me out. I think the tour's the best part of it all. Is it strange that they haven't done any press at all by now? I'm surprised we don't have any interviews or anything. Will that just happen closer to release? I was just getting on board with Coldplay around the time the last album came out, so I'm not really sure what I should be expecting now.

I have to say that it's quite refreshing to be just two months away from the release of the album and to be basically in the dark about it, i believe that one of the things that made MX a so-so album in the Coldplay canon was that we knew way too much about it before the release, we had heard almost half of the songs and we had been teased for months by Roadie 42 so our expectations were sky high (i know mine were) and it was never going meet them. It's cool that Midnight and the announcement came out of the blue and that we've only heard two songs, i hope things stay that way until may...

Does their new record company Warner Bros have anything to do with this? Do they generally let their artistes choose their level of publicity?

I don't know enough about the workings of the record company to know if they're a cause. I do see the point that kaisin is making with the benefit of this not setting us up for failure in a way, but on the other hand I wish we had more. The only reason I say that is because it feels like (and don't jump on me for this.. it could be an off perception) to me that they're kind of half assing it this time around. Just the fact that they're putting something out has made waves, but I'd love to see some more from them pre release. Maybe we'll get that after the itunes festival.
