Alessia Cara: Coldplay Helped Me Become "More of an Entertainer" Posted on 9/13/2016 5:01 AM
Alessia Cara's Know-It-All Tour Part II kicks off September 29, and the 20-year-old Canadian star says it'll be even better than the first part -- thanks to a bunch of forty-something British dudes. Alessia spent most of the summer opening up for Coldplay on their A Head Full of Dreams tour, and she says playing to massive crowds every night really caused her to up her game as far as performing on stage goes. "I think I'm definitely a lot better," she tells ABC Radio. "And playing these shows with Coldplay have been, like, a really big help, I think, in just becoming more of an entertainer, for sure." In addition to grabbing pointers from Chris Martin and the guys, Alessia says she appreciates just being able to call Chris her friend, even though she's "a little bit" freaked out by it. "I've looked up to him my entire life," she tells ABC Radio. "And the fact that I can just walk by him, like, 'Hey, Chris!' is very strange, but it's awesome. They're so nice!" Alessia's tour, featuring Ruth B and Nathan Sykes as opening acts, kicks off in Silver Spring, Maryland, and will feature her playing famous venues like New York City’s Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles’ The Wiltern. It will wrap November 2 in Toronto, Canada. link40 something???
