Well, the statement says they decided to "remain" separated, so they were already:-(
GMA just had a very positive segment about them this morning. I hope they'll put the recording on their website later on b/c I'd like to rip it and watch it over and over again. I've been preoccupied with my husband illness that I didn't feel the full impact of this news when it was 1st reported, but now it's slowly sinking in and I feel very sad.

The Daily Mail have a pic of Chris talking to Keshia and ask anyone who has any info on the mystery brunette to call them!!haha They are a pathetic excuse for a 'newspaper'...

The media is having a field day with this. Yesterday one of my friends texted me to tell me that Chris and Gwyneth were all over the entertainment news. I think they will talk about this and make up stories until something else happens Obviously Chris and G have been separated for weeks. They just decided to make it public now

So my husband offered his condolences, and then added that Chris was "on the market." Uh, I told him I'm taken.
The gossips news today is hideous, and the comment sections are even worse. Funny how non-Coldplay fans think they know Chris, when WE don't even know him (really). I need to stay away from these sites, even though I do love my daily gossip fix.

Yea we all know how Chris acts on stage but im sure he is a completely different person in real life. I think hes a great parent and a great person and I dont think that they broke up because either of them were cheating, but rather that they both thought it would be for the best due to their careers and location differences. It really is nasty some of the stuff they are saying about them though

I'm staying away from all gossip media, i don't really believe what they say unless it comes from the person directly. Why don't they ever just wait for more accurate information instead of making things up and making speculations...annoys me.
Why would Coldplay not do an interview? Don't they just tell the interviewer what not to ask and to focus on the band?

This may have happened a long time ago, but Chris got his 'G' tattoo covered with a heart. [It is on the inside of his right bicep, right?]

I've been thinking about this. He has never talked about G. In any interview. Why would now be any different? Of course they may choose not to do interviews anyway. But I do hope not.

for me it's not a matter of choosing not to answer the questions, it's a matter of the awkwardness that brings to the interviews and all the gossip columns interpreting how he avoided answering the questions and what not. this will definitely distract from the music unless you are not careful where you do the interviews. for example, i don't think jools holland would ever ask any questions on their private life. but imagine an ellen interview or jimmy fallon interview. and all the headlines the next day.

trouble is if they do interviews and GS is as Chris described 'personal' how the hell are they going to talk about the album Q. So what is Ghost stories about? CM. Its um..personal Q. Who is Magic about? CM.Its um..personal You know what I mean...I dont mean to make light of it but how will interviews go? Im at a complete loss at the moment about the whole thing, was so looking forward to hearing GS but now it will be sad, maybe by the time it comes out things will be clearer and the excitement will come back, i feel like someone has burst my balloon

I agree. You can tell interviewers not to ask questions about it, but you know they will sneak them in like they always do making it quite difficult for Chris as he then becomes the target for interpretation on how he reacted and uncomfortable he became. It's hard, and that's probably why they are avoiding some interviews, depending on who is asking like gai said. Hopefully, they will have some stock answers about the album. That said, I wish they could actually tell someone what not to ask and have it actually work that way because I am missing the promotional interviews.

^ oh god, never thought of that, makes me sad, bt i think he has already plannes some basic answers so they can't take him by surprise
By the way i don't think Fallon is going to make questions about G, he's been friend with both of them, mostly with chris (they know each other since 2000), with Ellen is a bit different, I don't really trust her as i trust Fallon, but she's a close friend of G do i don't think she's going to be a bitch about it
