Life is most certainly a rollercoaster, Carina, and I'm sorry that you have gone through some rough times, but attitude is everything, and yours seems very positive right now. I do realize that sometimes things can weigh very heavily and it makes it hard to see silver linings, but you are seeing solutions and possibilities, which is wonderful. Keep at it, and I'm sending best wishes and hugs for everything good to start to head your way!

Awww, not good Kitty.
This year started out wonderfully happy because I had just come back from the Under 1 Roof concert in London right before Christmas. I had a 21st birthday party for my son that was really fun, the hub and I celebrated 26 years of marriage, my other son graduated from college - all great stuff. Then something weird happened this summer. My sister in law's father died. My mom fell and broke a rib and bruised her kidney, my sister fell and broke her foot and ended up in the hospital with a blood clot and missed going on vacation with us this year, and a very close friend, whom I've been friends with for 40 years easy, had a cancer recurrence, and it's not good. All of this happened within a couple of weeks of each other, maybe less than that. So, I'm looking forward to some good news.
And yes, time is FLYING by.

Im sorry Sharon. That is a lot of things to take in at such a short period of time. Hope things improve soon . .... This is the year of rotten luck. So much random bad stuff has happened over the last 2 months that its really dragged me down. I'm not as social as I normally would be, and it has, well, just plain sucked.

I'm sorry to hear that. I want a whole bunch of random good stuff to come and pick you up. Isn't it especially sucky when these things happen during the summer? At least it is for me, summer is so short.

I can relate to what you write here. The first half of 2014 was fantastic for me and now there is a drop and a couple of things are really s**t at the moment. Whatever happens to you, try to be positive and believe in yourself. That's what counts and it will eventually help to overcome difficult times. And let's not forget about the Coldplay magic! It can happen anytime!  |

Ugh me too...2014 started out so great...everything was all lined up for me. Then I lost a (sort of) promotion at work and other things as well and everything just tanked in a major way. Seems to be a familiar theme for all of us here right now. Here's hoping for some CP magic for all of us as Dustin said!

I feel like my mom is just becoming more and more fed up with being a mom. She rarely spends time with me and when she does she's a jerk about it. She devotes all of her time and money to her boyfriend and then rubs it in my face that she has someone and that I'm single. (newsflash mom, no one wants to date an asexual) And she keeps harping on me to get a job. I tell her that there isn't anywhere around here that has job offers for people under 18 and when I tell her I want to sell my art she shoots it down right away. Not to mention she pulls similar crap with my sister and treats her fiance like s**t for no reason. Like every time I want to do something for myself I get treated like s**t.
Sorry for the block of text but if I have to deal with two more years of this I'm going to break.
