I was not surprised to see something happen today on Bastille Day. Truly feels like the world is falling apart. One tragedy after another.

German radio just reported that there was a coup-attempt in Turkey. I saw Ceren (jeremy) post on twitter that there are tanks and helicopters but seems like they do not know why. Crazy world.

I feel like I have a certain responsibility as an adult to watch the news, be aware of what's going on, and to listen to and honor the stories of the victims, but, I just can't handle watching it any more. :( |

So sad, yet again. I'm just speechless and have absolutely no understanding of it whatsoever. Many of the dead were kids, and although it breaks my heart for everyone, it tugs at the heart a bit more for those innocent, precious babies. Being in a huge city at the moment, I find myself wondering about people as I pass them, and it's such a shame to have to do that. Thoughts and love to all of our friends in France and around the world.

More officers shot now in Baton Rouge, apparently again with an assault rifle or some sort of a high powered weapon. This is what Row is waking up to today after the beautiful concert last night? She must think our country is insane. I'm utterly embarrassed and ashamed for our country that our lawmakers aren't doing anything to control these weapons.

What next?? These last few days have been the darkest saddest days for a long time, dont feel ashamed of your country because it is full of honest,loving, free people, yes the gun laws need to be addressed but a truck was used for the same purpose, to kill people, this is what we need to overcome, the hatred in this world right now is so scary, who do we trust anymore, Im at a loss to be quite honest
It is hard to watch/read the news but I have to just to try and make sense of it all, I get worried about my daughter who is currently in Indonesia loving life, I want too wrap both my girls in cotton wool to keep them safe but can't, feeling a bit helpless at the moment like all of you, but we must, must not let them win, Believe in Love is certainly the way to go, love to all of you xx
