It seems that every one of Coldplays gigs either has a dedication to a legend that has passed away or a country that has faced some awful atrocity, as Chris has said we face very confusing times at the moment, yes Prissie I agree, give us all love over this!

There is so much hate in this world... Why can't people live together in harmony? I think that hate can't be the answer to hate (so Trump definitely doesn't have the answer) but education might be.
Munich was on the list of places I want to visit soon but I will have to postpone that trip for some time now...

OMG what is the world coming to. I don't think you need to be embarrassed for your country at all! There are lovely people there.. including you guys here. But we should all be ashamed and sad for our world. We are all Global Citizens, why can't we all get along?

I know no one that supports Trump, and I would have to question their sanity on every level if I did. I would seriously have to question if this is the type of person I would want to be around, and that's the truth. Every news agency, network, magazine, etc., has their own poll, so I usually have no idea what's going on. If he makes it to the presidency, I will have to either move or live underground for 4 years. It's embarrassing.

Yes, it's awful. Flew to Berlin today for a wedding of good friends tomorrow and only heard a little bit of the news about Munich. Feels like this will not end.

So grateful to our favorite band and this forum for giving us a happy place to escape to from all the Evils of the world! We all seem to share the same ideals for Peace and Unity in the world. I too am very afraid of living here in the USA if that very hateful ,evil person called Donald Trump gets in! I can"t even watch him or listen to him when he"s on the TV. His VP choice is even worse,. His followers are all racist bullies.This will be the end of America! I guess Row Mars is our only hope!  |

So grateful to our favorite band and this forum for giving us a happy place to escape to from all the Evils of the world! We all seem to share the same ideals for Peace and Unity in the world. Saw the headline come across my phone that there had been another shooting in Munich just before I left to come home from St Louis today. Don't know too many of the details yet because I don't want to. I couldn't bear to turn on the news the radio or the tv at all today and hear about it, when I was still trying desperately to stay in my peaceful after-concert Coldplay memories. |

I always feel worried about joining this thread. But I needn't worry, the best people in the world are here. Us. Love you guys.
My son came to me today (he is 18) and said he was sad. I asked him why and he said because the world (particularly 2016) was really awful at the moment. He was down because of it all. He didn't understand how people who allegedly love god could be so cruel and so evil and how come we didn't go out and kill all of Isis. I had no real answers for him. But I said regardless killing is wrong and that even if they COULD find all of Isis, then killing them is still wrong. But in my heart I feel exactly the same! I wouldn't shed too many tears if we could do that! :(
But we have HAVE to not let them make us sad, not affect how we go around and about our daily lives. Because if we do, then they win. It's so difficult to explain this to children, to young adults and not let it affect them and make them want to take revenge. It truly sucks. :(
Fortunately we do have US, we have this place, we have our families, our friends and we have to live our lives.

Its hard enough to make sense of this evil,but trying to reassure your kids,especially young adults like Ollie, well where do you start, I guess a look back at history shows us that these aren't the first to try and rule by terror, but each time evil gets squashed by the good in the world, thats what we have to keep believing, I got a bit down about it last week myself, but you have to shake it off or they've won

I know guys, I hear you, it's hard, SO hard not to give in to the hatred when you hear of all the demonic (sorry to offend anyone if that is too strong of a word) things that isis is doing. For God's sake, I've heard that they are crucifying people over there in the Middle East. I surely don't understand any of this myself and I am an adult (I think so, most of the time anyway!) so how could someone as young as Ollie even begin to make sense of this. We just have to remember that as big as they are, we are part of the MUCH larger, loving and normal part of this world.
I heard many people speaking their thoughts after Paris, but my favorite quote was this: "130 people have been killed, many more were injured, and another 7 billion of us have been forever scarred by these horrific events."
Hearing this brought tears to my eyes because, WE are the seven billion, WE are love and WE are together, and WE can fight this evil!!!
I just have to keep thinking, we stopped the Nazis once, surely we can stop this evil too.
