Very depressed about this election. I can"t seem to get excited over Christmas. I don"t think there"s any hope tomorrow I can"t believe the unhinged lunatic is soon to be our leader. His cabinet pick very bad. Its not even about politics anymore. He should have been disqualified a long time ago. I am so disappointed in the American people whether it be Republicans or Democrats. It is about being decent human beings. Trump and his followers don"t believe in "All men are created equal" or "Liberty and justice for all". I am so sad for our country and all humanity. I will never accept him as my president. Maybe I should have put this in the feelings thread.I am just in shock over this.

I understand of course; I am depressed too. I'm finding it hard to get into Christmas because the passing of Christmas just brings us closer to the inauguration. I could not manage to put up a tree this year, only some Christmas lights because those really cheer me up.
Having the Electoral College day happening tomorrow is like getting ready for a second disappointment. Even though I know it can't happen, of course a small part of me hopes.
I can't believe this is really happening. I don't think I've accepted it yet. If I'm going through the stages of grief then I'm still in denial.

Both of you are well aware that I feel the exact same way, and it's depressing. Watching the news and the atrocities that are happening in Washington with cabinet picks and other things makes me feel sick, and it is hard to hold back worry. Just like SNL said, it's like he is purposely putting people in cabinet positions that are actually undermining that particular area. Like Leann, I feel a certain amount of denial. The thing that I have clung to is the hope that something, anything, anything at all, would come up to make the electors change their minds. The questions of fraud and cheating is unprecedented. But after today, the hope is gone to be replaced with just worry...and embarrassment. Egads. I put for Hillary to be president on my Christmas list. My husband said as much as he would like to get that for all of us....

Can we hope for a miracle today with the electors? I don't know. Obviously it's something that has a slim chance of happening, it is still being covered. Otherwise, we need to hand on tight and be strong for four years, maybe less. The union will still stand, we may get a better chance in four years.
