It's a tricky one. Talking as someone who potentially "has" a mental illness. How do you diagnose someone who is dangerous vs. someone just sad? Sometimes the meds themselves CAUSE the problems. I know it's not an easy issue. One of my best friends is a counsellor for the NHS. She moans constantly about budget cuts and staff levels. Another friend works in pathology at the same hospital and it's the same there. NO staff, too much to do, no help.. and not paid enough for what she does.
The NHS is a great idea, I think it's awesome for people who ARE unable to work etc... but it needs a HUGE injection of cash. We pay our National Insurance contributions out of our salaries, it's non-negotiable, it's a tax, which we have been paying for our entire working lives. But if you need a doctors appointment its a two week wait. Or you can phone up at 8:30am wait in a queue, and then get a five minute appointment where you can ONLY talk about one thing. in and out. Andy has a rotator cuff injury. He needs an ultrasound scan and probably steriod injections/an operation. But he has to wait until the end of January for this. In the meantime he is in a lot of pain.
So sorry I can witter on about this all day. Oops..

But we need to figure it out. I mean, we would never let someone with severe Alzheimer's live on their own when they can't take care of themselves. This guy said he thought the CiA was controlling his mind. That's a very, very obvious sign of actively delusional paranoid schizophrenia. It's abnormal psych 101. Someone in that mental state doesn't have the capacity to take care of themselves until they are stabilized. It's frustrating to me because it seems so obvious.

We went from a very passionate emotional farewell speech from a class act President Obama to a class less clown giving a press conference. I can"t really ever accept this clown as our leader!

I haven't heard all of it, but from what I've heard I can only agree with what you are saying, Sue.
I hoped all the latest Russian developments would set things in an other light, but it seems like it wont change anything. :(

He is such a buffoon, and that's the nicest thing I have to day about him. I wonder what history books 50 years from now will say about him and this awful period of time?

“We’re going to create jobs. I said that I will be the greatest jobs producer that God ever created. And I mean that,” Trump said in his first press conference since winning the November 8 election." WOW that sounds pretty great! Maybe I've misjudged the guy!

Oh hey, that means Jeremy can get a new, cool job created especially for him by Trump! Thanks, Trump!

I understand Sue, I can't accept it either. The democratic white house staff that is on the way out, say that they and Obama have worked through the stages of grief and have reached acceptance, but they are bigger people than I.
