LOL ------------------------------------ Today's Challenge was finding a message on the American airlines website that told me 'You are NOT registered on the flight' ! Thank goodness I went and checked NOW, instead of leaving it for the day before! I called the UK AA help line (no not alcoholics anonymous, although their website and subsequent help line might cause me to become one!). ANYWAY the outcome is.. and you will laugh... I hope. The flight has been CHANGED, from arriving at 2.40... to arriving at 2.35. AND they had to take everyone's details OFF and re-enter it. Which means I lost my pre-booked (In JANUARY I might add) selected specially, window seat! FIVE minutes?? Seriously? ANYWAY the outcome of my conversation, 15 mins on hold, was that I cannot check in online, but have to do it at the airport, where they will allocate me a reserved window seat (Which I prefer) instead of a middle seat! Which I hate and which are all there are left. But the airline reserve a small amount and allocate them at check in. The lovely 'Chinese lady' on the UK helpline  promised me I will get one at check in. I'd better or there will be trouble!! More on Friday.. and hopefully no MORE 'trouble'.  |

So far so good then?  I had to laugh at being helped by the Chinese lady at the UK helpline number for an American Airlines flight. I've never been able to check in online for an international flight, but I am preparing myself for the phone call from Andy (the hub) that he's having to bail her out of jail because she didn't get a window seat. I have NO idea why they would change any flight stuff because of five minutes. Very strange, but I can't help but laugh a little at your telling of this story. just a little.... |

I'm leaving at 11am UK time tomorrow. And arrive 2.35 pm USA time in Raleigh Durham. Which is 7.35 UK time
I'm at a concert this evening in Hyde park. We're seeming Tim Minchin.
