Other than the L.A. shows/gigs, they only did one other intimate gig in the very large remainder of the U.S., so I'm okay with this of course. They only have two tickets to give away apparently, and it would take a bolt of lightning to strike at that very moment to be the 97th caller to get them. Only 200 people. This can't even really be considered a gig if it's that impossible to get in. Depressing.

this doesn't seem like a coldplay gig in anyway. so the location basically depends on where chris is at the time. since it is just 200 people, probably invitation only. something to keep him from loosing the live performing edge.
on another note, chris seems to be doing a lot of solo stuff since he moved to LA doesn't he?

I agree, it seems to be where Chris is at the moment and it's for him to be able to perform live. I guess being by himself in L.A. and away from the band brings the need out even more?

I hope someone records a few songs. Do you think it will be like the Hotel Cafe gig? Just guitar and piano sounds very interesting. Wonder if he will do any Ghost Story' songs...

It's a bit strange for me to think of him solo, he's so much part of the band for me. That wedding performance felt so sad. I wonder, since it's a radio station giving away tickets, will they broadcast this? Probably not, but one can hope.

Everyone who can be there, will probably have a very unique possibility to hear MX and GS songs in an acoustic version. To my knowledge, he doesn't use backing tracks when he performs on his own. It freaks me out that people might go there who would not even notice a difference or who wouldn't appreciate it much because it doesn't sound like on CD (because it's a true live performance, of course!). It would mean everything for me to hear him playing live without any additional music from tape but I don't live in the US... Not that I don't like America. It's just that I am a little bit jealous... Ok... maybe a bit more than a bit

Wonder if he will do any Ghost Story' songs... yeah probably will be acoustic. don't see him playing with another band backing for one show. wonder how jonny, will and guy feel about this. and heads up on the first keyword: Cities 97 @cities97radio Did "I" just hear @paulfletcher97 recap the 1st Chris Martin @coldplay keyword? "I" think "I" did! Next word at 4:20: bit.ly/C97ChrisNYC

Ok... maybe a bit more than a bit hahaa.. i feel you. even though i do live in the US, it's not a possibility since i am tucked down south with a busy schedule coming up. it is always unique when chris performs on his own because he is not sticking to a structured show that the band does on a nightly basis with even the audience interactions loosely repetitive. you get more of a sense of what he is as a raw musician, which is always inspiring. dang! it would be great to be there, but i doubt hardly any 'real, hard-core' fans will get the chance with probably friends, family and music business people getting the tickets. anyway, it would be interesting if other ticket promos will pop up during the next weeks and if this will get any promo.

This sounds amazing, I really like the more acoustic/simpler songs the best.
Is anyone able to keep track of all of the keywords? I can try to call them on Friday morning but I can't listen for the keywords, I don't have way any to listen to the radio at work.
Also, what day/date is this concert? B/C August 5 is a Tuesday.
