He's done many solo charity performances, and he did the surprise solo acoustic gig at the Hotel Cafe, but that was in preparation for the Michael J. Fox event, if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe it's in preparation for something? I would have thought maybe the iHeartRadio thing, but that's in September. It could be that he just wants to keep playing live, but why not just show up unexpectedly like he did at the Hotel Cafe? Maybe this is for charity in some way as well. I love trying to pick apart everything! LOL!

don't think it is for charity since there will be a lot of promo if that's the case and will be officially announced to sell tickets and what not. this is weird since there are ticket promos going on in very small local radio stations (not promoted through a big radio network and no official announcement). also the promos suggest that he can't show up unprepared and do his thing and charm everybody like he has done before. it gives the sense of this being a legitimate gig. also the tweet about the interview is very weird timing too. can anyone ask the interviewer what it is about?

Um did they just say CP is going to be at the thing in September? I still have the station on and I was only half listening but then snapped up when I heard the magic word Coldplay
