I think that tweet is real! Perhaps the #notreally is in reference to the location being undisclosed because he just shared it with everyone. If you look closely you can see the silhouettes of a film crew. If you look at his other tweets the guy said stuff like, "Why is most of the film crew for cold play Scottish hahaha #heavyaccents" and "#nbd chillin with the producer of the shoot hahaha ???????? sweet gal!" so I think its real.
If it is real I wonder what song it would be for? Aren't their next rumored singles "Another's Arms" and "A Sky Full of Stars"? The location appears to be a pier, judging by the reflection of the light on the water.

I agree, I think it means that the undisclosed location isn't really undisclosed (because he is there!) I'm probably wrong, but hey..  It's all just so exciting right now. |

In the 4 songs heard so far there seems to be a sense of melancholy, isolation and vulnerability to it. Here's hoping for more of the same when the album is released - an album where I can be alone with!

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to distract myself from the fact that we have to endure two months of waiting now. I do hope we get the studio versions of AA and AIMH earlier along with a video of course. |

Man, I do not get why so many people dislike the two songs we got last night. I mean, the immediate reception was fantastic, and then I check the response later on and it's almost more mixed than it was with ETIAW's release. Always In My Head and Another's Arms are superb (but especially the former!), and we have successfully reached the "old Coldplay" sound again. Yet, when we get it, people complain? I'm so confused. Ghost Stories is going to be on-par with AROBTTH and VLV. Calling it now. I agree with what someone said earlier, probably because you've got a lot of people that were introduced by MX hanging around right now. Ooooh big call there. Given my order of personal preference is AROBTTH>VLV>Parachutes>XY>MX, I really think it could easily fit nicely inbetween VLV and Parachutes right now, as long as the rest of the songs aren't absolute stinkers (I doubt it). I'd have to wait a little bit to hear more songs or more final versions of them to call it any higher ETA: Oceans is probably 'O' |

Based off of the performance of lead single Magic the anticipation for Ghost Stories is huge. Check this out... Coldplay: Anticipation for the band's sixth studio album, "Ghost Stories," due May 19, appears sky-high, as first single "Magic" debuts on Digital Songs at No. 7 with 114,000 downloads sold. The start marks the band's second-best debut sum, trailing only the 139,000 that "Paradise" sold in its first frame (Oct. 1, 2011). Sales of "Magic" account for 78% of its points on Hot Rock Songs and the Hot 100, where it storms in at Nos. 7 and 24, respectively.
"Magic" materializes at No. 13 on Rock Airplay with 5.5 million in first-week audience (for the week ending March 9), according to BDS. The song grants Coldplay its best debut rank and opening-week listenership in the chart's nearly five-year history.
